Denotation & Connotation blog tasks: advert analysis
























1) Write an analysis of the WaterAid advert above using denotation, connotation and analysis. What can you see? What are the deeper meanings in the advert? What does the advert communicate to the audience? How might an audience react after seeing the advert?

in this printed advertisement we can see the industries or company's name water aids also slogan dig toilet not graves (verbal code ) and a child (dark skin) this impleads that they don't have toilet and due to this people are dying at the talk about graves also they use the child as a stereotype that African child are living in poverty this makes us wanna help the children which would help bring in money for the company also the child's expression (symbolic code ) show he is not happy while most other kids at his at would be happier this could show the he is struggling with his current living conditions also the child looks very malnourished and thirsty making us help these poor child as we would not wanna see are own child like this 




2) Now choose your own choice of advert from Google images. Save it to your documents, insert it into your blogpost and write an analysis using denotation and connotation, explaining what the advert is communicating to the audience.

we can see the shoes (technical code) also there is the company logo (symbolic code) and there is a bold description of the shoes (written code) telling us that they unbreakable  lightweight and  explosiveness also we can tell there is a Collab between LeBron and Nike (written code) also we can see the reflection of the shoe on the floor(technical code) also there is the Nike logo on the shoe (symbolic code) 

connotations

we can infer that Nike has given LeBron a Collab as it says LeBron x Nike (written code) also making him a shoe which is meant to be unbreakable lightweight and explosive this could be calling out other shoes for how heavy and easy they are to break they are basically saying are shoes are better the other  and could be saying that LeBron is the best basketball player also the Nike logo could should they make the best basketball shoe 

analysis 

we can see we can see the shoes (technical code) also there is the company logo (symbolic code) and there is a bold description of the shoes (written code) telling us that they unbreakable  lightweight and  explosiveness but we can analysis that these shoes are unisex as the black colour could be wore by boys or girls also these shoes are meant to be unbreakable lightweight and explosive this could be calling out other shoes for how heavy and easy they are to break Nike is indirectly calling out other companies ( adidas ) for how awful there shoe are
