demographic and psychographics

 1) What information do media companies use to create a demographic profile of their audience?

companies use the audiences class - age - gender - ethnicity to advertise the product  

2) Why are media companies and advertisers increasingly use audience profiling and not just demographics?

companies use audience profiling as not all customer interest as not everyone ones personality and interest are the same 

3) What are the seven different Psychographic groups? 

the seven different psychographic groups are aspirer - explorer reformer - mainstreamer - struggler - resigned - succeeded


4) Write a brief summary of what each Psychographic group is seeking or motivated by They seek status 

Aspirer- want luxury brands and can be influenced quickly by celebrities  

explorer - there want to seek new thing and want to try new things  they seek discovery  

reformers - they want self - improvement and want to better themselves they seek enlightenment

mainstreamers - they on buy from trusted brands and value money they seek security 

strugglers - they do not think about the future and are attracted to alcohol and gambling they seek escape 

succeeded  - they want the best of the best for themselves they seek control 

resigned - they follow there institution and traditions that they have grown trust in they seek to survive

5) What psychographic group or groups do YOU belong in? Think about your own interests and lifestyle and explain your decision. Remember, you may fit into two or three different groups! 

in my personal opinion i believe i am a mainstreamer and explorer as i like to have security in the items i buy but i also enjoy exploring new things as i recently tried coding and enjoy it
