His dark materials meet conventions through having "stock character" as we see each characters own story line and what they are currently doing in the story also they use different technical codes

action adventure film usually features a dangerous quest or mission Todorov’s Equilibrium theory of narrative structure is used here also we see prop's character theory 

evil witch - villain 
the girl - hero 
the demon - side kick 
the boy - helper / donor 

4) What settings appear in the trailer?

In the trailer it provides a range of different settings such a castle like building on top of a island above the sea. As well as in the beginning it cuts to the where the heroes are looking around a town/village in search of something also there is the witches forest

5) Who do you think the target audience for His Dark Materials is? Give reasons for your answer.

i think its targeted at teenagers boy or girl that are interested into fantasy / adventure genre i think this because i think teenagers watch fantasies the most compared to other ages
